With Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4, why can't my HP server with cciss partitions create a diskdump?
When a HP server goes into a kernel panic, the diskdump will report the following message and can not create a vmcore file.
Older versions of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 cannot create a diskdump on a cciss partion. Please update the kernel to 2.6.9-55.14 or newer for support of cciss partitions.
